MOBILE A/C RECHARGE AT YOUR HOME OR OFFICE

When your car's air conditioning begins to lose power and doesn't blow cool air, it may be time for an A/C recharge. Recharging your A/C means adding more refrigerant to your A/C system to allow the air to start blowing cold again. Recharging your A/C is a temporary fix to a likely bigger problem. If your system is indeed missing refrigerant, your air conditioning system has a leak and needs to be inspected and repaired with a certified mechanic. Refrigerant does not evaporate in an airtight system, so air must be leaking in. Don't let your A/C recharge problems get you stranded or cost you more money. Contact Wrench to have your A/C recharge by an experienced mobile mechanic who will come to you. That way, you can get back on the road and drive with confidence that your car won't let you down.

WHAT IS A/C RECHARGE?

When an air conditioning system loses its ability to cool properly, it may be necessary to recharge the system. Below covers how to recharge the A/C system when the system is low on pressure or has been vacuumed out following a repair. An A/C recharge can be completed at home, it is still considered a more professional repair, as it contains work with hazardous liquid and is best left for a certified mechanic.

HOW IS A/C RECHARGE DONE?

Because of the sensitivity of this procedure, we will explain how to use the A/C recharge kits. We have shown to be the most effective and safest option in comparison to trying to repeat a mechanic's role.

  1. Turn on your A/C
  2. Determine if A/C compressor is engaging
  3. Test the pressure
  4. Attach the recharge hose from the kits
  5. Restart the vehicle and monitor the gauge
  6. Thread the refrigerant can onto the recharge hose
  7. Return to the inside of the car and check the temperature

RECOMMENDATIONS

Make sure to double check each fitting is secured as recommended by your manufacturer. Failure to complete this may result in refrigerant leaking.

SYMPTOMS THAT INDICATE YOU NEED A A/C RECHARGE

  • Loss in cooling capability
  • A/C clutch fails to engage
  • Visible signs of refrigerant leaks

Because the need for a recharge indicates a loss of refrigerant, there is likely a leak somewhere in the system that may need to be addressed before having this service. For this reason, if you suspect your system may need a recharge, first have the A/C system inspected by Wrench mobile mechanic to ensure that the A/C recharge addresses the problem properly.
